I was recently made aware that the blog posts have not been updated very frequently and it turns out… that is true!! We have sorely missed out on updating the main page while continuing to update the “upcoming events” page on the right. Needless to say, things have been going great for TechCafe since the last posts on the blog here from the event at Pipelinedeals.

We had some great events to round out last year including an event in October over at Hill and Knowlton, followed by two events in November. One at Contour and one with RatioInteractive and Point Inside.

This year we kicked things off with an event over at Appature (amazing kegger happy hour), and a Lunch in February over at EnergySavvy. We have some great events coming up as well with loads of opportunities to meet fellow entrepreneurs, learn about the great products and people building cool stuff in Seattle, find Seattle’s best startups that are hiring rockstar developers (I know Appature and EnergySavvy are both hiring and a few of the events in the works are looking for great technical staff), and find the next startup to invest in.

The next event is one that I have been excited about for some time, I met David Aronchick through twitter (somehow we ended up following each other). Of course we chatted over twitter, met for coffee, and I was amazed to learn what the ex-Microsoft’er had built right here in Seattle. I won’t get into the details – come to the lunch (March 4th). Recap of TechCafe Lunch @HillandKnowlton w/Fitch

In case you missed the last event, it was over at Hill and Knowlton’s offices, and it was a huge hit!!

I know they aren’t a tech company and we didn’t even have them bring in a customer that is a tech company. What we did talk about was trends in the tech industry, what areas could be focused on, and if you are already focusing on a particular area – how to build a message that resonates with customer needs in your area. Joshua Reynolds, the Global Technology Practice Director over there gave us an hour of his time to get into the details and the result was great!

For those of you who have been skipping TechCafe events or if you haven’t attended/sponsored but have been thinking about it, we’re happy to share what you missed. The video is broken up into five pieces around 10min each so they are easier to consume.
