Title: Systems Engineer exp with Virtual Server

Location: Redmond, WA

Duration:  3-6 months

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience supporting Windows 2003/2008 Server, SQL Server 2005/2008, and Internet Information Server (IIS5-7), in a large scale operations/production environment; extensive knowledge of client server architecture; advanced ability to analyze, design and architect IT systems;

• Must have 3-5 years experience with T-SQL, SQL Query Analyzer, & SQL Profiler and networking (Cisco, F5 BigIP, Radius, TCP/IP protocols, architecture and principles).

• Candidate should have experience with Virtual PC, Virtual Server and Hyper-V as well as managing and provisioning Virtual Machines.

• Candidate should have working knowledge of scripting languages, (VBS, ADSI, Perl, PowerShell, etc.).

• Experience with programming disciplines (C, C++, Win32, ASP, HTML) is a plus.

• Candidates should also be experienced with the software development life cycle (SDLC), Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR), possess a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) and/or System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), transactional monitoring, process and task automation, testing processes, build process, configuration management, release management, and server deployments.

• The position may require on-call rotation. Should have a BA/BS degree in CS, related discipline or equivalent work experience, MCSE, CCNA preferred.

• You will work with intelligent people on the latest technologies.

• Engineers will fine tune the monitoring systems to make services self-healing and cost effective.
