The mission of the Development organization at Verdiem is to develop groundbreaking energy management products for network-connected devices. We cover a wide range of technologies including networking protocols, device power control, power estimation, power state history, database analytics, exception analysis, usage monitoring and power consumption optimization. The successful applicant will have a passion for creating innovative software that delight users.
Position Summary
As a Software Engineering Manager, the candidate will have an established track record of leading cross-functional teams that implement enterprise applications and systems using agile methods. The candidate will work closely with product and program management to ensure that product vision, roadmap, and backlogs are effectively translated into actionable work items for their teams. The candidate will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle and will play key role in developing and improving Verdiem’s people, process, and technologies.
Responsibilities Include:
· Lead a team of developers and testers through the delivery of quality on-time releases.
· Continuously improve Verdiem’s agile development methods ensuring value is delivered to the customerearly and often.
· Oversee the evolution of Verdiem’s enterprise and SaaS power management product offerings
· Ensure features are developed with technical standards that result in code that is maintainable, easily enhanced, and consistent with architectural goals.
· Work with product management to ensure a product roadmap that is achievable and create a development plan for product releases to support it.
· Empower team members to achieve their best through collaboration and take pride in achieving common goals.

Qualifications:
· Solid understanding of software development life cycles and experience implementing Agile Methodologies and a track record of successfully delivering complex software products
· Expertise with enterprise scale applications running in critical environments requiring unparalleled performance and stability
· Strong technical background with enterprise software development experience including C#, Java, databases, multi-tiered architectures, web-based technologies and SOA
· Experience with Web 2.0 technologies and creating, delivering, and maintaining Software as a Service (SaaS) product offerings.
· Passion for building high-quality software and direct experience managing software test engineers
· Passion for lean/effective/pragmatic software methods and process
· Strong leadership skills and ability to inspire others to achieve success
· Outstanding interpersonal skills and strong oral and written communication
· 4+ years managing software teams
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
