We are hiring for a Senior Data warehouse and OLAP consultant to be part of an exclusive team developing and designing a high profile product with global impact. We are building a search framework and applications which provide the transparent solution for data collection that can take both database and unstructured document information and make it searchable across organizational units using standard information retrieval techniques and also building analytical components for mining the data, identifying concepts, geographical and temporal relationships as well as people, companies and other entities, in order to turn raw data into actionable knowledge.

This is a 1-2 year contract opportunity

Responsibilities:
* Identify business requirements of data warehouse. Plan, design, schedule and coordinate data warehouse analysis, design, modeling, development, and deployment.
* Design end user interface including reporting. Develop best practices for data loading and extraction into and out of the data warehouse
* Develop code, towards resolving the bugs
* Follow procedures for coding conventions and documentation
* Participate in weekly project team meetings
* Occasionally contact customers as may be needed to clarify the intent of a new feature or resolve a problem
 
Required Skills:
* 6+ years strong development experience with SQL Server 2005/2008 (T-SQL), SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, C# or .NET Framework
* Hands on experience on data warehousing, data analysis and modeling.
* Experience in performance/fine tuning queries (all SQL objects) to be more efficient and maintainable
* Candidate should be able to independently design solutions and should be a quick learner.
* Experience with storage systems such as SAN, load balancing and partitioning.
* Experience with Agile practices & methodology
* Attention to detail, strong problem solving, debugging, trouble shooting skills, deals with ambiguity & self motivated
* Ability to work closely and collaborate independently across a feature team
* Excellent organizational, communication both written and verbal, and motivational skills
* Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience
* Experience with following / applying engineering excellence best practices
 
The following development skills are a definite plus:
* Web Development and Web Services (ASP.NET, XML, XSLT, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, IIS)
* Experience with Silverlight
* Experience with SharePoint
* Visual Studio SQL Project and Automated build experience
