Software Engineer - Highly Scalable - Distributed Systems - Database Systems - Cloud - Java - Python - Linux


If you are a software engineer with experience in scalable cloud-based software deployments, and live in or within commuting distance of the Seattle-Bremerton ferry, please read on!

What you need for this position:

- The proper candidate must have contributed to the development products or services that are scalable (distributed).

- An understanding of the use of databases in such distributed applications.

- Strong experience building distributed systems based services (design and coding).

- Experience with the design and implementation of large, distributed, web-based or client/server systems.

- Experience with database systems, transaction management, and object relational mapping concepts

- Strong knowledge in concurrency control, data structures, algorithms, and scale-out software architecture

- Software development skills in object-oriented scripting programming languages on Linux

- Experience with Pythom, Java, and Postgresql is helpful.

 
What you'll be doing:

- Designing and developing software for web-based cloud computing services in the energy space.

- Problem-solving and thinking laterally as part of a team, or individually, to meet the needs of an immediate product deployment.

- Contributing to technology development.

- Troubleshooting customer's technical issues.
