Job Description

We're developing the worlds first system of measurement for Relevance, Influence and Reach across the vast social-web (think similar to Google's page-rank but aimed instead towards brands and individuals). This is exciting because their data-set is one of the largest considering that they're analyzing data from Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and other social-media outlets. This is a perfect role for those who like to work in an autonomous environment while building something unique/original, someone who wants to make decisions pertaining to technical direction and product features.

Job Experience

- Experience working with large distributed, high-performance systems from requirements, design to implementation.


- Strong experience with Java concurrency (i.e. optimistic, pessimistic locking, etc), advanced topics pertaining to threading and synchronization.


- Interest in working with 'Big Data' technologies such as Apache Cassandra, Project Voldemort, Map/Reduce, Hadoop within a large-scale data processing environment.


- Have worked within an Agile/Extreme programming environment.


- Must be excited about working within a small start-up environment moving at the light of speed

Required Experience
