We are in need of a FTE Channel Sales Manager with a Seattle company that has the best of both worlds.  They are a large, profitable company with a small office in Seattle. The Channel Sales Manager will perform the following duties:

-Overview Business Partner (channels/resellers) operations and advise, guide, and lead on ensuring products are positioned in a manner that is consistent with revenue and market share objectives, while focusing on Business Partner profitability.

-In coordination with the Business Partners, develop sales and marketing strategies, to include defining sales territories, various presentations for trade shows, and building strategic relations etc.

-Analyze and review territorial distribution and relative performance, in order to enhance performance, recruit, or reduce Business Partners, while ensuring customer demand is met.

-Work with Business Partner Sales representatives to determine the best vehicles to market this Company’s products in specific territories.

-Provide product knowledge and training on all existing and new products to all Business Partners in each territory.

-Accompany sales representatives on sales calls, and lead sales presentations to major prospects or specific customers.

-Prepare regional business plans and sales quotas.

Required skill set

-Minimum 5 years selling experience in the education sector, K-12 preferred, with current customer geographic base relationships. Will consider non-sector deep experience in Hardware/Software sales, especially in consumer electronics.

-Prefer Channel experience, but will consider experience with direct selling or selling within a channel.

-Strong understanding of the channel business and proven track record of growing revenue, profitability, customer retention, and growing market share through the Business Partners.

-Ability to think systemically concerning channel sales, orchestrating and closing complex deals, and building long lasting relationships with key customers and channel partners.

-Outstanding written and oral communications, and the ability to prepare and present at very high levels of the customer engagement process.

-Strong account management and skills, with a real intuitive sense of a successful customer relationship process.

-Working knowledge of sales tools, such as Salesforce.com, partner specific tools, templates and marketing calendars, spreadsheets etc.

- Willing to travel 50%.
