Do you have a passion for driving the user experience through the definition and development of technical standards and best practices used within the DWH and BI presentation layers? This role contributes to activities and mentorship related to EDW architecture, including ODS, detail and summary data marts, ROLAP/MOLAP/OLAP and User Interface (UI) portions of DWH and BI projects.
You will work with DWH Development, Reporting, BA, Data Steward and QA teams to set technical direction related to information storage, access and delivery layers and provide oversight and technical checkpoints to enforce standards and a consistent user experience.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for preparing and implementation of technical architecture, information access, storage and delivery framework around DWH and BI functions
• Coordinate and lead groups of business and IT personnel to review the design of all user access solutions, including summary data marts, cubes, scorecards, dashboards, reports, ad hoc tools and other key components. This will include high-level design of the overall delivery solution and detailed design of all Information access and delivery components of the solution.
• Establishment business definition aspects of the metadata repository/catalog of information stores.
• Address and resolve technical architecture issues in the information collections, storage, movement, consumption and presentation/delivery.
• Provide guidance and leadership on technical methodologies for projects, such as technical requirements, design topics, code reviews.
• Define and lead technical and architecture direction of the DWH and BI reporting programs.
• Create dashboard design patterns, standards, and templates.
• Design and implement caching and performance architecture for DWH and BI tools and technologies.
• Architect and develop Microstrategy metadata objects.
• Architect, Design and participate in DWH development activities as necessary using Informatica 9.x tool set.
• Develop internal training curriculum and provide coaching and mentoring to internal project team members on EDW and BI presentation layer standards and technologies.

Skills & Experience:
• 7+ years of experience and leadership in End to End DWH and BI applications architecture, design and development.
• 4+ years of hands on experience with Microstrategy or similar OLAP tools development in support of end-to-end project life cycle tasks related to BI projects development.
• Sound Knowledge and strong experience in Dimensional modeling design and principles implementation.
• Experience with Microstrategy Object Mangement is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with MicroStrategy 9 Web customization and mobile development is an added advantage.
• MCD/MCE preferred.
• Experience with ETL tools and technologies like Informatica 9.x or similar is a must.
• Experience in performance tuning and row level security a must.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with MicroStrategy Intelligence and Web server installation and configuration, administration and object management is a plus.
