QA Engineer w/JMETER experience

We have a very exciting organization that has been worked on for over a year with many big players from organizations such as Stanford, Google, Yahoo, MIT, UC Berkley, Sun, Cisco, and more.

We’re seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial QA Engineer to work closely with the Development team in ensuring the overall quality of the web sites, applications and related systems.  This position is an ideal opportunity for a smart, energetic individual to have a significant impact on our product through testing and troubleshooting web applications, as well as the design, coding, maintenance & execution of automated test cases to verify the performance & functionality of the applications. Duties:

·         Code automated tests in Java & Python or other relevant languages/frameworks

·         Release testing of the web applications & stand alone applications

·         Test data set up

·         Coding test automation utilities by using JMeter, Selenium, FoneMonkey

·         Working with team on implementing and executing load & performance testing

·         Researching and troubleshooting production issues

REQUIREMENTS:

·         BSCS or MSCS or equivalent

·         4 years experience of automation/development on Python;  Java 

·         At list 2 yeas testing experience with JMETER or other performance tools

·         Background in MySQL database tier backing  

·         Knowledge in QA automation based on (and/or) Java, Python & open source technologies: Selenium RC&Grid, PyUnit, PHPUnit,  JMeter, etc.)

·         Strong understanding of the HTTP protocol , web applications, Unix, Shell scripting, Java Application

·         Strong understanding relational database technology

·         A high level of attention to detail and personal responsibility for the quality of your work

·         A passion for & obsession with quality

PLUSES:

·         Test automation experience with any of the following tools & technologies: PhoneMonkey, Squish, Ant, CruiseControl, Jenkins, Hudson, Squish, etc.

·         Experience with other open source tools.

Compensation at this time is stock only, however, we will be launching by the end of the month and that could change very soon. Other benefits include:
