Responsibilities:

• As the first dedicated QA employee, you will be leading all testing and quality assurance of Dashwire's web service and mobile applications


• As Dashwire continues to grow, you will build and manage the QA/test team to meet the needs of the products being developed


• Be the internal advocate and spokesperson for all things QA. Clearly communicate issues, risks, concerns and successes to stakeholders.


• Define the company's test process and strategy, create test plans, select/develop automated test frameworks


• Perform/coordinate all forms of testing: functional, acceptance, security, system, performance, load, failure/fault tolerance, and UI


• Work closely with fellow developers to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions

Qualifications:

• 4+ years QA/testing experience of web services and/or mobile applications. Candidates with both web and mobile experience will be preferred.


• Thorough understanding of SQA best practices and knowledge of the software development lifecycle


• Experience with automation tools and testing frameworks (Fitness, Selenium, etc.).


• Proven experience writing test plans and managing a test environment


• Excellent communication skills, ability to multitask and prioritize, and a proactive mindset


• Strong technical skills and experience in developing test automation in any OOP language (Ruby, Java) and familiarity with scripting languages


• Experience in short release cycles, the full software lifecycle, and have worked on products that have succesfully released


• Experience in cross-platform and cross-browser testing including Windows and Mac


• Four-year technical degree or equivalent relevant experience

Preferred:

• Experience in a test lead or management position


• Experience in service, component and API testing, preferable in a service oriented web-application


• Expertise in performance, stress, security testing, and code coverage testing


• Skills and experience in deployment and build/configuration management in mobile application and/or high-traffic web services


• Skills and experience in wireless technologies: Mobile devices/browsers/gateways, WM5/6, Blackberry, JME, Symbian, etc.
