Job Description: Hygea is a health care startup is looking for a self motivated, software engineer who can do it all. The project at hand is a simple web-based wiki/dialogue/best practice sharing community. We’ve received excellent feedback from a whole cross-section of the healthcare industry. We have an uber-accomplished Advisory Board (think, CFO of a big web health startup and the father of venture capital in Israel).  And…we have a nice pot of money.

Location: DC/MD/VA area but software engineer could work from anywhere.

Compensation: Full partnership

Required Skills:

Ø      First and foremost, the ability to build a complete site from coding to graphics.

Ø      Degree in CS/EE

Ø      Experience creating/working on a social network greatly preferred

Ø      Expertise in any web application framework: webwork, struts, django, ruby on rails, app engine, etc

Ø      Experience with building applications that scale (memcache, data replication, etc

Ø      Strong design sense

Ø      Proficient with Ajax, CSS, et al.

Ø      At least one example of taking an idea from concept to completion, web application preferred

Ø      Familiarity with test driven development and unit testing in general

Ø      Expertise in Drupal would be great as we already have a Drupal based prototype
