We are seeking a talented, hands-on CTO to help take our Internet Company to the next level. We need an entrepreneur with extensive technical expertise who will make strategic decisions about architecture, approach and technologies. He or she must have broad-based application development experience and the judgment to balance decisions against user experience, cost, and implementation challenges.


As for specific technical skills: profound knowledge of .Net is crucial, along with good UX.  In addition, strong database scaling experience is a huge plus. Demonstrated ability to apply Web development best practices with respect to scalability, security, usability, load-time, and basic search engine optimization is also important. The CTO will make substantive contributions to the development process beyond simply managing it. He or she will also be deeply involved in product strategy, feature prioritization and business strategy.

RetireHub.com is a web service company that helps users plan and invest for retirement.  You can check it out at http://retirehub.com.  We have acquired the assets of our predecessor company, including our IP, customers and sales pipeline.  Although we are in the process of raising a seed round, revenue is imminent and we have an opportunity to build a very big company. 


The position is open to smart, entrepreneurial hackers. Computer Science degrees from top universities preferred. Must be self-driven and highly motivated to work both independently and with small teams. Initial compensation will be largely equity based. We’re located in Boston, MA.
