Augmented Reality is the killer digital marketing technology used to visually display content and products to consumers in a 3D based way, creating memorable user experiences.


 


Founded in 2003, metaio’s proprietary software platform allows compaanies to place 3D animations directly into live video streams and supports seamless integration of images from the external user environment. metaio has worked with more than 350 leading brands like Lego, Toyota, Ben & Jerry’s, Popular Science and others to create deep brand engagement, cost effective marketing, and higher sales.  


We are looking for a brilliant marketing, PR, buzz, key influencer, and social media strategies and tactics at the industry, corporate, and consumer level to drive amazing results. 


In this highly visible role reporting to the GM, with frequent interaction with the senior management team, and touching all aspects of the company, this person will own our communication strategy.


 


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute a hard hitting, integrated marketing and communications plan for all audiences - industry, corporate and consumer. Incorporate and understand the interplay and balance of more traditional PR efforts, buzz marketing, key influencer, and social media strategies and tactics to deliver results.


  • Lead messaging development and partner in brand and product communication strategy.


  • Develop and execute comprehensive "traditional" PR and social media support behind new product launches, innovations, and business development partnerships.


  • Responsible for setting clear and measurable objectives, focused strategies and hard hitting tactics for PR that are integrated into overall company efforts


  • Develop and manage the PR budget.


  • Develop and track to key success metrics


  • Strengthen and deepen current media and analyst relations program and extend to new contracts within the analyst, media, blogger, and key influencer communities


  • Serve as company's spokesperson when required and provide guidance and training to internal spokespeople as needed


  •  Coordinate and manage press tours, prepare appropriate briefing materials and staff interviews as needed.


  • Create PR content including press announcements, Q&A, and blog posts.


Required Skills:


  • Proven track record of success and outstanding results


  • Minimum 5 years of total working experience in PR, both in-house and agency.


  • 3+ years in a consumer technology/web company, ideally 2+ years in software marketing


  • Expertise, knowledge, and enthusiasm for social media and a dedicated user of these channels for personal and professional use.


  • Understands how to best leverage traditional and social media tools to maximize communication efforts. 


  • Outstanding communicator - both verbal and written. Expert in creative writing and editing press releases, media collateral, and speaking/awards submissions.


  • Highly analytical and comfortable with this approach


  • Authentic and expert at developing and maintaining outstanding media and analyst relationships


  • Leader and team player. Adept at collaborating across groups.


  • Ability to think strategically yet drive results and execute at a tactical level


Education


  • Bachelor's Degree – marketing, business, journalism, English, or communication preferred
