We are looking for a strong technical systems engineer/admin  This person will work within a team of 3- 4 system engineers as a hands on individual contributor. This person must have the ability to execute in a complex, fast paced environment.  Candidates must have high energy, dedication, and expert-level skill. The candidate will be responsible for the operation of our 24x7 production environment. Minimum 7-9 years experience, 2-3 years leading projects in a secure, 24x7 Java-based production environment with Oracle and SAN technologies. Must be willing to be on-call on a rotation basis. We are looking for the best--mature candidates with a comprehensive understanding of the technologies in use.

• Design and architecture of system level solutions for monitoring, configuration management


• Design and development of processes for capacity planning and incident response


• OS installation, configuration, and management


• Clustered server configuration & operations


• SAN Management


• Managing root cause analysis


• Experience providing 24x7 on-call support


• Strong scripting skills

• Experience as a senior level individual contributor in a production environment


• Must be willing to be on-call on a rotation basis.


• Expert Red Hat Linux and Solaris administration experience


• Knowledge of best-practices switch, router, firewall and load balancer implementations


• Experience with HSRP, VLANs, VPNs, trunking, protocol analysis


• Experience implementing and maintaining routing protocols in complex IP networks


• Understanding of monitoring technologies, JMX instrumentation


• Experience managing SMTP and DNS servers


• Solid understanding of security technologies and best practices


• Cisco network administration experience


• Expertise in creating large, scalable, reliable IP network architectures Experience with Naggios and AppManager monitoring tools desired
