Based in Central Ohio, Gong Gong Communications is a marketing and creative firm specializing in providing customized services to small businesses.  Our services include graphic & web design, copywriting, social media engagement, and marketing strategy.  We employ a focused team of staff and freelance workers dedicated to developing unique, practical strategies for our clients.

We are in search of qualified Web Developers to add to our team of Gong Gong professionals.  As a member of our team, you will immediately take on tasks pertaining to the development of client websites – using HTML, CSS, PHP, and other development tools.   This is a virtual position with regular in-person meetings.  Freelancers will be supervised remotely using online collaboration tools.  It is essential that candidates be a motivated and willing to work hard and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Website development using HTML, CSS, PHP, and Java



• CMS integration using Joomla and other systems



• Website design OR be willing to work with our graphic design team



• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to manage time well



• Ability to work with teammates to meet target deadlines

Requirements:

• High level, working experience in HTML, CSS, and PHP



• Demonstrate excellent knowledge of cross-browser compatibility and Search Engine Optimization (SEO)



• Must have familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS), specifically Joomla



• Knowledge of Java and Flash a plus



• Outstanding verbal and written communications skills



• Must provide own computer and software



• Must be located in the US, preferably Central Ohio

The work load for GGC will vary each month depending on the needs of our clients, but can range anywhere from 5-20 hours per week.  The pay rate for our freelance workers is always dependent on the applicant’s skill level and experience; however, we are always open to negotiation.  We look to form on-going relationships with successful freelancers as there is always possibility for growth within the company.
