Scoble has a piece on Twitter DMs, essentially why he hates them and therefore ignores them. I send DMs quite frequently, and I think that what Scoble may not understand is that they too have a time and place. It is a matter of convenience and the person receiving the message.
For convenience, they are hard to beat, especially for short quick messages. In addition, the people I DM are all fairly heavy twitter users. I don’t use it for complex messages, questions, or anything that requires a large response.
