How The Event Turned Out

I couldn’t have wished for more. We had a great turnout and had such a good time that we even forgot to take pictures (seriously). We had exactly the kind of vibe that makes for a fun event. People were engaged with one another with quite a few different conversations going on; entrepreneurship, politics, art, local issues, geographic comparisons, pretty much everything.

The entrepreneurial spirit always amazes me. I get excited hearing about people’s ideas, objectives and plans. Especially when they are great ideas, and Vancouver is definitely full of interesting people with exciting ideas. I met James Sherrett of iWorkIndustries who is helping to coordinate Bar Camp Vancouver. I wish I could make it, but unfortunately I have to head back down to Seattle tomorrow. If you are in Vancouver or the surrounding areas, then I definitely encourage you to take a look.

Importantly, I want to also thanks Jason and Rob of JayandSilentRob.com for their help in setting up the event. Without them we wouldn’t have had the location or the great turnout. They write a great blog, you should definitely check it out. Thanks again guys!

Our next event is in Seattle on Tuesday the 29th. More info can be found at http://www.npost.com/events.html.

[...] I think Wings was a great location to have it, but a few things we can improve on for next time. The music seemed to be a little bit on the loud side, and there might have been a few too many tables and chairs in the back there, but it was cozy. We’ll be looking at bring everyone together again for another event, hopefully as soon as early to mid-October. I hope to be putting together a page of mini-profiles for people who attend these events, so I’ll try and have that out as a resource soon. Thanks again to Nathan from nPost.com who made the trip up from Seattle to make the event happen - Check out his post about the event here - and thanks to everyone else for making the event a success, especially to ‘not-so-silent’ Rob. networking event nPost [...]
